| SAE's Gouvelis Meets with Alexandria Patriarch Theodoros II |

A program that seeks to bring the Greek Diaspora youth closer to the Alexandria Patriarchate is to begin soon by the SAE Coordinating Council of Africa and Near/Middle East. The decision came following a meeting between Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa Theodoros II and SAE Regional Coordinator and Vice President Charis Gouvelis. Both also agreed to extend the cooperation between the Patriarchate and SAE to the NGO “Desmos” on Diaspora issues in Africa. Mr. Gouvelis extended an invitation to the Patriarch for the 2nd Regional Conference of SAE scheduled for October 2008 in Alexandria Egypt and a further invitation for events celebrating 100 years of the Greek Community in Pretoria, which culminate in May 2008. Mr. Gouvelis also held meetings with Greek Ambassador Ioannis Alexios Zeppos, the President of the Greek Community of Cairo Christos Kavalis and Secretary Nicholas Politis to discuss issues connected to the Greek community in Cairo.
