Addressing the students of the Greek Department of the Philological School, Tourism Development Minister Aris Spiliotopoulos expressed his emotion and his joy to be surrounded by young people – students and researchers in Greek literature – at one of the world’s most important universities, St. Petersburg, Russia.
In his speech, he described the facility as the “cradle of a huge
heritage”, where students study the fruits and wealth of both the Greek
and the Russian soul – a “heritage that keeps the past alive, not as
something embalmed, but as something that becomes the property of the
present”. Mr. Spiliotopoulos invited the top students to become better acquainted with Greece and its civilization, promising to send books that will be added to the department’s historical library. Set as favorite Email This Σχόλια
