Pupils from the 6th grade of the Arsakeio School in Tirana, Albania, and their accompanying teachers were received at the presidential mansion in Athens yesterday by the President of the Hellenic Republic, Karolos Papoulias.

Greek language learning and the activation of Cypriot youth will be the focus of a special meeting to be held next weekend in Melbourne, on the initiative of the Federation of Cypriot Communities of Australia.

A general meeting of the members of the Cypriot community of Sydney was held recently, where it was announced that the body had acquired new real estate. The proper procedures for management of the organisation were followed and it was announced that the community showed a financial profit, for the 8th consecutive year of over $100,000.

The foundations were laid earlier this week for the erection of a small chapel at the Greek elderly people's home in Ridleyton, according to an announcement issued by the Greek Orthodox Community of South Australia.
