Constantinos Papadakis was a significant personality in the academic world of the United States. In April, Papadakis succumbed to cancer at the age of 63. Since 1995 he had assumed the presidency of Drexel University in Philadelphia and since then, according to US press reports and data by relevant authorities, transformed and upgraded the university to one of the best on an international level.
