Three Greek expatriates are among the candidates on the state deputy lists announced by Greek political parties in view of the Oct. 4 general elections.

With a joint decision of the National Defence and Interior ministries, Greeks living abroad (except for army deserters), who plan to come to Greece in order to vote in the upcoming October 4 elections, will not be subject to checks regarding their military situation, for the period September 17 to October 25, 2009.
