Greek-Australian Athanasios Synodinos has written a press article giving his own interpretation about the Liberal Party in last week’s Australian national elections. For nearly 10 years, Synodinos was the chief of the office of the Australian prime minister, John Howard. In his article, published in “The Sydney Morning Herald”, Synodinos noted that while most Australians consider that the country is going in the right direction, the party in power for the past 11 years lost out to a state-of-the-art election campaign based on techniques used overseas and on resources of the trade union movement.
