| Laiki Bank radio marathon starts in Australia |

Numerous events are being organised in Adelaide (and other Australian cities), within the context of the Laiki Bank's 2008 Radio Marathon to raise money for children with special needs.
The official opening of the appeal was held at the Greek Orthodox College of Saint George in the suburb of Thebarton last night. Present at the event - for which students greatly assisted - were high-profile officials from Greece and Australia, as well as many other guests. It should be noted that in Sydney this year, the major event for the radio marathon will be held at Dockside Events centre at the famous Darling Harbour.
