The Hellenic American Union inaugurates its cultural program for 2008 with an exhibition – tribute to the great Greek–American actor and director John Cassavetes. The exhibition opens on Monday, January 21, 2008 at 20:30 at the Hellenic American Union Galleries (22 Μassalias Str., Κolonaki). The exhibition comprises more than 100 photographs by internationally renowned photographers Sam Shaw and Larry Shaw. All exhibits belong to the Shaw Family Archives. The photo exhibition is a retrospect of portraits and scenes from the cinematic career as well as the private life of the famous Greek-American director and actor. The exhibition highlights the close relationship between Cassavetes and the two photographers.
