Μία από τις καλύτερες τραγωδίες του Ευριπίδη, τις «Βάκχες», στα γαλλικά, με σκηνοθέτη τον ομογενή Γιάννη Γαβρά, παρουσιάστηκε με επιτυχία από το θίασο «Υ-GREC», στο Παλέ ντε μπο Αρτς των Βρυξελλών, από τις 26 έως τις 29 Μαρτίου. Η σκηνοθετική δουλειά του Γιάννη Γαβρά, για πολλά χρόνια τώρα έχει ξεπεράσει τα σύνορα του Βελγίου, αφού τακτικά δίνει παραστάσεις και σε γειτονικές χώρες, παραστάσεις πάντα υψηλού επιπέδου. Ο ομογενής, που τις περισσότερες φορές χρησιμοποιεί την ελληνική γλώσσα στα έργα που ανεβάζει, χαίρει εκτίμησης για την δουλειά του.Η παρουσία πολλών προσωπικοτήτων στις παραστάσεις δεν είναι καθόλου τυχαίο γεγονός. Αρκεί να αναφέρουμε ότι την παράσταση της περασμένης Κυριακής παρακολούθησε και ο Πρόεδρος της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής, Ζοζέ Μανουέλ Μπαρόζο, ο οποίος αποδίδει ιδιαίτερη βαρύτητα, τον τελευταίο καιρό, στα πολιτιστικά δρώμενα και ιδιαίτερα σ΄ αυτά όπου συμμετέχουν πολλές εθνικότητες. Στην παράσταση του Γιάννη Γαβρά συμμετείχαν τουλάχιστον πέντε άτομα, διαφορετικής εθνικότητας, μεταξύ των οποίων και Έλληνες ηθοποιοί, όπως και τεχνικοί.
