Prime Minister-elect, George Papandreou, received a phone call from US President Barack Obama, who said he wanted to be amongst the first to congratulate the PASOK leader.

Greek-American Mr. Kotsifas was arrested by police on Long Island after going on a spree of erratic and danger behavior on October 1st. Kotsifas began his criminal spree on October 1st after threatening a driver and attempting to steal her vehicle during a stop at the gas station.
