The Council for Hellenes Abroad (CHA) is at a decisive point of its course, just one year after its 6th regular assembly. This first meeting of the presidium and CHA Regional Coordinating Councils – which began last night and concludes on Sunday evening in Thessaloniki – marks “specific solutions to specific issues”, according to CHA president Stephanos Tamvakis.
In a letter to
the members of the presidium and the regional councils, entitled
“Concerns for the future of Hellenism everywhere”, Tamvakis uses sharp
language for the first time, seeking to show that there is no time left
to lose. “The aim of the meeting,” he said, “is to define aims and
priorities for exercising CHA’s competencies.”The parliamentary
speaker, Dimitris Sioufas, yesterday sent greetings to the meeting
which were read at last night’s opening session. Set as favorite Email This Σχόλια
