The American Hellenic Institute has expressed its grief for the recent death of Archbishop Christodoulos. In an announcement, it notes: “The American Hellenic Institute expresses profound grief for the death of the the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, Christodoulos. A hierarch of high spiritual ethos, the archbishop brought a renaissance spirit and enthusiasm to the teachings of Orthodoxy to the Greek people. Through his leadership, the Church of Greece made a special effort to touch young people and apply the teachings of Orthodoxy to contemporary issues of our time. Archbishop Christodoulos’ contribution to Orthodoxy and to Greece will always mark the enormous heritage that he left behind him”. Set as favorite Email This Σχόλια
