The Ministry of Education and Religion has increased the number of teaching positions at large universities throughout the world, where the Greek language is taught to 3rd and 4th generation Greeks and to foreigners. This year, 56 such positions were announced for 48 universities abroad, compared to only 36 posts for 33 universities last year, and 22 jobs at 22 universities in 2005. “It is a priority of our policy to promote the teaching of the Greek language through the Greek studies departments of major foreign universities,” said Education Minister Euripides Stylianidis. “When the Greek language is addressed as a lesson for 3rd and 4th generation Greeks abroad, it is a basic tool, a connecting bridge with the Metropolis.” Set as favorite Email This Σχόλια
