    Greek-Australian author Christos Tsiolkas' award-winning novel, “The Slap”, is to be turned into an eight-part series for ABC television. Production on the drama is due to begin in Melbourne in 2010.Tsiolkas' work explores what happens when a man slaps a child who does not belong to him at a suburban barbeque.

Presentation of 4th Anthology of EELSPH

The 4th Anthology of the Association of Greek Writers of the Five Continents (EELSPH) was presented in Nea Triglia, Halkidiki Prefecture in northern Greece. The keynote speaker was Iakovos Garivaldi from Melbourne. The event attended over 250 people and among the speakers were Thessaloniki Prefect Panagiotis Psomiadis and the mayor of Nea Triglia.
The guests underlined the contribution of the Greek expatriates and the important initiative undertaken by Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation with the assistance and support of SAE and its President Stefanos Tamvakis to proceed with the publication of the 4th Anthology of EELSPH.
All proceeds from the books sold will be donated to “Agapi” association for children with disabilities.
