With the arrival of the Greek National Theatre in Australia, it is very possible that the Greek Orthodox Community of New South Wales will this celebrate its 110th anniversary.
As stated by the community’s president, Haris Danalis, in an interview
with the Greek Program of SBS Radio, discussions surrounding the
National Theatre’s visit had started last year, when its late director,
Nikos Kourkoulos was still alive. Danalis said that the troupe’s performances will definitely constitute the leading events in the community’s celebrations, adding that he was certain Greek-Australians will attend the performances en masse. The drama to be staged is Aeschylus’ “Prometheus Bound”, and in Sydney, these would take place at the city’s State Theatre on October 10 and 11. Set as favorite Email This Σχόλια
