Oμογενείς συνταξιούχοι διαδηλώνουν στη Μελβούρνη
Με ισχυρή ομογενειακή παρουσίαση πραγματοποιήθηκε χθες συγκέντρωση συνταξιούχων έξω από το Πολιτειακό Κοινοβούλιο στην Μελβούρνη ζητώντας αύξησης στις συντάξεις και σε άλλα επιδόματα προς τους ηλικιωμένους.
Ενεργό ρόλο στην διοργάνωση του συλλαλητηρίου διαδραμάτισε η Ένωση Ελληνικών Συλλόγων Ηλικιωμένων της Βικτώριας.
Ο πρόεδρος της Ένωσης, Θεοδόσης Νομικός είπε ότι προβλήθηκε το αίτημα για αύξηση της σύνταξης από το 25% στο 35% του βασικού μισθού, και ζητήθηκε η χορήγηση άλλων επιδομάτων και διευκολύνσεων για τους ηλικιωμένους.
