The president of the Greek-American Teachers Federation, Stella Kokoli has noted the need for coordination of all responsible bodies to help resolve the main problems faced by expatriate Greek teachers in the United States. She made the statements during the first joint meeting of the Council for Hellenes Abroad (CHA) USA's Education Committee with the federation's committee.
At the meeting, the standing demand of expatriate Greek teachers for pensions, increased pay, and advanced training was noted. They also pointed to the need for assessment of teaching books. The requests will be send to the Education Ministry in Greece.
